Between 21 and 24 May 2025, the annual MakeLearn, TIIM & PIConf International Conference was held in Bangkok, Thailand, bringing together academics and practitioners from around the world. Approximately 140 participants attended the conference in person, while around 80 joined online.
As part of the Erasmus+ KA220-HED project HEI GreenPath, a paper titled “Integrating Green Skills in Humanities and Social Sciences: A Critical Dimension of the Ecological Transition” was presented during an online session of the conference. The presentation underscored the pressing need to integrate green skills into non-technical higher education curricula. The session emphasised that green skills are not exclusive to technical or scientific fields; they are equally vital in the humanities and social sciences. These disciplines offer essential frameworks for fostering ethical awareness, civic responsibility, and systemic thinking—competencies fundamental to addressing complex environmental challenges. Accordingly, the HEI GreenPath project advocates for a values-driven educational transformation that empowers students to actively contribute to a more desirable and sustainable future.
